During my undergraduate degree I have learned many useful skills. Studying Media Communications has allowed me to gather a greater understanding of society, audiences and media. Throughout the degree I have been very fortunate to have a creative influence in all aspects of my education. To read more about my experience during university please read below.
Throughout the degree I have been very interested in feminist studies; representation and its significance in wider media. In my final year of my degree I completed a dissertation that focused on the portrayal of teens in teen films. Using semi-structured interviews I asked 18-25 year olds what they thought about the genre. Results indicated that teen films are not realistic and there is a significant difference between British and American teens. Participants discussed their use of media to educate themselves about sex. Overall, this degree has helped me to grow in every way as a person and as an academic. I thoroughly look forward to staying at this University for a Masters degree.
September 2020Â - June 2021
BATH SPA UNIVERSITY
After completing my undergraduate degree I felt that my next move was to start a postgraduate degree in MA Marketing and Brand Management. I feel that my academic career is not yet over and I wish to explore academia more. I will learn to understand consumers' behaviours and needs as well as keeping up to date with the role of data in business. This will allow me to make better decisions faster and enable me to incorporate increasing expectations of social responsibility into marketing, as well as brand management strategies (Bath Spa University, 2020). Currently achieving a distinction in my first trimester on the course.

Achieved GCSEs in Art and Design, Biology, Graphic Communication, Drama, English Language, English Literature and Mathematics.
A LEVELS
Achieved A Levels in Fine Art, Graphic Communication and Textiles.
FIRST AID
I achieved first aid in 2015 and have been an active member of the community, helping others in serious situations.
BATH SPA AWARD
This award recognises extra-curricular activities and employability skills. The award encouraged me to start networking with employers, completing online assessments and gaining work experience.
