Roles & Responsibilities

September 2019-June 2020

TREASURER, BSU PSYCHOLOGY SOCIETY

Within this role, I manage the finances and keep the President up to date with the financial situation and to establish whether events are financially viable.

October 2018- present

SENIOR STUDENT AMBASSADOR (BATH SPA UNIVERSITY)

During this role I have taken on many responsibilities including, but not limited to, admin, call centre work, representing the University and working on Open Days and Applicant Visit Days and advising students about University based on my experiences. This role often required good communication, team work, public speaking and leadership.

September 2019- present

ACCESS AND PARTICIPATION ADVOCATE (BATH SPA UNIVERSITY)

Working in small groups of up to six children at a time and telling them about University, from what a lecture is to how student finance works. During this role I also safeguard children and pursue action where necessary.

September 2017- June 2019

COURSE REPRESENTATIVE

During my first and second year of University I acted as a course representative, which meant that I passed on feedback to the academics and I discussed how to resolve any issues. This work was on a volunteer basis, representing the Level 4 and 5 Media Communications Cohort.

July 2020-September 2020

DIGITAL BADGE RESEARCHER

I worked for the Bath Spa University Careers and Employability team to create a report to discover whether or not digital badges could be an asset to Bath Spa. I wrote a report which can be seen in the 'blog' section entitled 'Digital Badge Report'. In this position I was able to apply many of the skills I learned throughout my undergraduate degree including, organisation, written skills and communication to name a few. I thoroughly enjoyed this work and I was able to extend my network as well as my understanding of Digital Badges.

ACCOMMODATION AMBASSADOR (BATH SPA UNIVERSITY)

This job was to help students move in and get them acquainted with university life, navigate the campus and act as a friendly face for a big moment in their life. This job required me to have excellent communication skills, organisation skills and to think fast on my feet.

September 2018-present

CAREERS AMBASSADOR (BATH SPA UNIVERSITY)

This role was created to make students aware of the opportunities and the role of the careers department. I thoroughly enjoy this role as I was able to make connections and learn about employability skills.

June 2018- September 2018

SALES ASSOCIATE

This temporary job was a fantastic opportunity to learn about the retail sector, and how to communicate to the wider population, I also applied persuasive language to achieve a sale.

July 12th-14th 2021

MARKETING INTERN

This short internship was about business, operations and marketing. I was able to listen to people from multiple sectors, learn sector appropriate practice and was able to apply my skills to the work sample (click here to find out)Overall, this experience was insightful and there is much to be learned from it, I look forward to attending more of these internships in the future with Bright Network.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, BATH BUSINESS SCHOOL

Working alongside Nasir Salari, senior lecturer at Bath Spa University to research augmented reality and its applications in marketing.
